Disconnect Extra Time (DET)

What is Disconnect Extra Time?

Disconnect Extra Time (DET) gives players additional time to reconnect if they disconnect when the tournament is in the money.

This prevents players from being blinded out because of a connection problem.

 

How does DET work?

• The tournament clock pauses during a qualifying disconnect.
• The blind level doesn't advance while the clock is paused.
• The additional time gives the disconnected player an opportunity to reconnect.
• The system helps prevent players from intentionally disconnecting to take advantage of the extra time.
